Focus on Art Series: PIGSY celebrates Pride Month
To mark, Pride Month, Enid Bebbington, PIGSY Digital Marketing Manager takes an indepth look at PIGSY’s artwork “Duval Flag” in the latest episode of the PIGSY Focus on Art Series. The painting was inspired by the famous Sea to Sea Rainbow flag which ran along Duval Street and features the concept designer of the original rainbow flag, Gilbert Baker. Key West has always been a draw for creatives aswell as being a welcoming have for the gay community. PIGSY paints about paradise in order to celebrate Gay Pride Month in his painting “Duval Flag” which features the sea to sea rainbow flag which is full of butterflies and rainbows. PIGSY art is now on exhibition in Effusion Gallery on Duval Street in Key West

Slow Lane Gallery visited the art studio of Irish artist PIGSY to see his process. PIGSY (aka Ciaran McCoy) is a contemporary artist who paints in a neo-expressionist style heavily influenced by outsider artists like Purvis Young or Cy Twombly. Comparisons can also be drawn between the work of PIGSY and artist Basquiat
Dino Notaro presents “Gloria”
Gloria is a group show looking at the works of three featured artists with an online exhibition divided into segments.
Segment 1 features a look behind the scenes at me (PIGSY) in my studio.
Just before Christmas 2021 Curator Dino Notaro and Videographer Will Duffy visited me in my studio in Dublin. This is a short video of this visit which is an unfiltered behind the scenes look at how I create my work along with me talking about some of the pieces.
